We here at the ASUCS Board know it has been a while since you have heard from us as we have all been busy trying to wade the muddy waters of operating schools in a COVID world. However, we are now in the process of adjusting how we operate in order to be able to continue to serve you in the coming year. Here are some of the ways we plan to help.
Membership Fees Waived for 2020-2021 – In order to give individuals and schools a little bit of relief in the coming school year, the ASCUS Board is waiving membership dues for 2020-2021. Some districts have already sent in their purchase order and been sent an invoice in return. Please close your POs and disregard the invoice. There are no membership dues in FY21. Virtual Meetings – For this year, at least the first semester to start, all ASCUS meetings will be conducted virtually and meetings recorded and posted for members to view, review as needed.
Shorter and More Frequent Meetings – Typical ASCUS meetings had been from early in the morning sometimes until mid-afternoon. Our goal is to provide meetings more frequently to ensure you have update to day information since some of it seems to change daily. If we cannot conduct the meeting, we will work to communicate sources of information and virtual meetings or recorded meetings.
We know you all have A LOT of questions right now and we have them too. The ASCUS Board is working diligently to get members connected with the people and resources needed to provide those answers. Additional communications will be sent regarding meeting dates and times or with information on other available resources.
