Job Description
  1. Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals
  2. Stays current on all state regulations and reporting requirements related to student information. Ensures compliance with all state reporting requirements.
  3. Troubleshoots issues related to the student information system and provides support to all staff users of the system.
  4. Imports data into student information system as needed. Verifies data entered and makes any corrections necessary. Runs various reports from the system on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis for verification and reporting.
  5. Follows state reporting calendar to ensure all deadlines for submissions are met.
  6. Attends state reporting trainings on a regular basis.
  7. Oversees and monitors recordkeeping of student information at all sites and performs internal audits
  8. Provides training for schools in areas needed to support the functions of the student information system reporting and data verification.
  9. Enters student information for groups of students not handled by other offices, e.g. summer enrollments/withdrawals, summer transcripts, students on long term suspensions or expulsions, entering designations for students who require services, enters retention, etc.
  10. Assists Instructional Technology Specialist with student information system cleanup, rollover, scheduling and core/class creations and end of year reports for ADE.
  11. Follows FERPA in addressing all student issues.
  12. Prepare special internal reports and/or surveys as requested by the state of district officials.
  13. Assist Educational Services with data for NCA, SIP, and Grants.
  14. When requested, provide reports to district administrators regarding state compliance.
  15. Due to potential for access to confidential student information, it is absolutely mandatory that this position safeguard and maintain the confidentiality of the information stored and discussed in the department.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Experience with student information system preferred.
  3. Three years of experience with student information records and state reporting required.
  4. Experience with research and statistical analysis.
  5. Familiarity with relational databases, including queries and scripting.
  6. Effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills in relating to all levels of district staff, parents and students.
  7. Ability to meet deadlines and schedules and to effectively communicate with diverse groups.
  8. Ability to provide training in small and large groups.
  9. Ability to pass background and reference checking as stipulated by District standards.

Primary Location: District Office

Salary Range: $47,746 - DOE / Per Year

Shift Type: Full-Time
